She graduated from Floydada High School in 1939 and attended Draughons Business College in 1941 and 1942.
Tommie married Leroy Paul Denison on November 26, 1943, in New York City. He passed away January 1, 2000. A son, Kirk Marcus Denison, also preceded her in death.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Terry and Childress Hardware and as a secretary and bookkeeper for the Children’s Home of Lubbock. She was also an accountant for the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock.
Tommie had been a member of Monterey Church of Christ and of Sunset Church of Christ most recently.
She is survived by one son, Ronald Vick Denison and wife Kathy of Idalou, Texas, two grandsons, Ronald Brian Denison and wife Toni and Daniel Paul Denison and wife Kristen, and two great granddaughters, Morgan and Brooke, all of Lubbock.
A visitation will be held Thursday, September 7th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Services will be held at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel at 5740 W. 19th St. at 10 AM on Friday, September 8th, following a brief visitation at 9:00 AM.
