Sarah Jayne Ward, age 81, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022. Sarah was born September 28, 1940. Sarah Jayne graduated from Capitan High School in 1958 and attended Texas Tech University graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in 1984.
She married Richard Clyde Ward on May 16, 1958. Sarah was a teacher in the Lubbock Independent School District for many years before her retirement. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons; Richard Ward and his wife Judy, William Ross Ward and his wife Kelley, and a daughter Donna Marie Ward all of Lubbock; grandchildren, Aaron Amber and Madison.
