She was born in Cooper, TX on September 15th, 1944 to Thollie Lee (Jack) and Minnie Inez (Winters) Copeland of Crosbyton, TX. Rubye was a high school graduate.
She married Marshal Lee Anderson on August 12, 1961. Rubye worked at Lubbock Christian (College) University from 1978 to 2010 when she retired.
She was a member of Sunset church of Christ and had a passion for all things John Deere, turtles, Sister trips, singing, and traveling the world to visit her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Marshal, daughter Monica K (Anderson) & Kevin Nance of Cedar Creek, TX, and sons Bryan & Marni (McNally) Anderson of Bountiful, UT, and Wes & Jessica (Anderson) Anderson of Kuna, ID. Grandchildren Brittany (Nance) & Richard Romick of Edmond, OK, Heather (Nance) & Steven Howell of Lubbock, TX, Jackson & Erin (Sessions) Green of Bountiful, UT, Abbey (Green) & Pablo Altamirano of Bountiful, UT. Aubrey Anderson of Kuna, ID, and Emma Anderson of Kuna, ID. Great-grandchildren Andrew & Amelia Romick of Edmond, OK, Sawyer & Emery Green of Bountiful, UT, and Isa & Ezekiel Altamirano of Bountiful, UT. Brothers Travis Copeland of Denver, CO, Cecil & LaQuetta (Edwards) Copeland of Galt, CA, and Hoyle (Joe) & Helen (Mosley) Copeland, of Arkansas City, KS.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park on Thursday, October 27th from 6:00PM – 8:00PM. Funeral services will be held at Sunset church of Christ on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 1:00PM. Graveside service immediately following at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Lubbock Christian University in memory of Rubye Anderson.
