Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home from 4pm-7pm on July 14, 2021, with Rosary at 6pm, 5740 W. 19th ST., Lubbock, TX 79407.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on July 15, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father Martin Pina officiating services, 1120 52nd St. Lubbock, TX 79412. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery located at 15602 TX-493 Loop, Lubbock, TX 79423.
Ramon Garcia was born in Lubbock, TX to Edwardo Garcia and Guadalupe Rodriguez-Garcia. He lived and attended school in Shallowater, TX. He was the proud owner of RG’s Concrete for 37 years.
Ramon Garcia was preceded in death by his Apa, Edwardo Garcia, Ama, Guadalupe Garcia, and Brother Juan (Sapo) Olivarez.
Ramon Garcia is survived by Daughters Leslee (Lele) Cuevas, Ashlee (Cheetah) Garcia, Courtney O’neil, Aniyah Garcia, Son-in-laws Samuel Cuevas and Abel Martinez. Brothers Edward (Worm) Garcia, (Stacie) , Hector (Lip) Garcia (Andrea), Israel (Burt) Garcia(Elizabeth), and Alex (Pato) Rodriguez(Sylvia), Sisters, Adela (Negra) Medina(Esteban), Janie (Pasquala) Ontiveros(Jessie), and Rachel (Wynah) Garcia(Joe). Grandchildren, Desirae Sarate, Kaitlyn Maldonado, Arianna Maldonado, Jazlynn Maldonado, and Kylee Cardenas and Great granddaughter, Mazzileenah Maldonado.
Ramon had 37 nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Pallbearers are Samuel Cuevas, Abel Martinez, Mario Garza, Joshua Garza, Israel (Burt) Garcia, Alex (Pato) Rodriguez, Jesus (Chuy) Barron, and Josh Puckett.
Ramon will always be remembered by his many catch phrases, his love for being the center of attention, and making everyone around him smile. He was always the life of the party; he loved to sing, dance, and crack his jokes. He had a nickname for everyone he encountered and would take the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He made sure family was always taken care of and will always be remembered as our “Dinosaur”.
