Paul Whitney, 93, of Lubbock passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017. He was born on October 31, 1923 in Paris, TX to the late Ellis and Lilly Rae (Lockhart) Whitney. Mr. Whitney married Frances (Hale) in Clovis, NM on March 1, 1947.
He was an Army combat veteran for 5 years, and then worked for Santa Fe Railroad as a yardmaster for 38 years. Mr. Whitney was a very hard worker. After retirement he and his wife traveled together. Most of all Mr. Whitney was a very loving family man.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter; Martha Kay Rodery.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, three daughters; Carolyn May, Paula Bostwick, and Linda Joyce Whitney. He was also blessed with 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
