Michael Dwayne Johnston

On Wednesday, September 5, 2013, Michael was finally, joyfully reunited with his baby girl, Lilly, in Heaven with Jesus. He fought his battle with cancer with everything he had, and is finally at peace, and no longer in pain. Michael’s strength, and faith were an amazing inspiration to so many people, and even in his death, he will continue to be an inspiration to everyone who knew him.

Michael was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, and so much more. He was born in Lubbock, TX on September 16, 1979. He leaves behind his wife, Emily, sons, Jordan Wilhite, Dylan, Tristan, and Kellan Johnston. Parents, Tanya Johnston, Bryan Johnston, and Laura Johnston, grandparents, Nina and Johnny Silvas, brother, Steven Johnston, and his wife Rene, sister, Crystal Gallagher, and her husband Tim, mother and father in-law, Ric and Sheri Jamison, brother-in-laws, Donald, and his wife Ashley, Dennis, and his wife Erika, sister-in-law, Elizabeth, nieces, and nephews, Noah, Matthew, Makayla, Mellisa, Brinnia, Jasmine, Wesley, Wyatt, and Josh, Evelyn, and countless aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services to celebrate Michael’s life will be held at 10am, Monday, September 9, 2013 at South Plains Church of Christ. Graveside services will immediately follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
