Funeral services for Mattie Ruth Taylor, 78, of Lubbock will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 1907 E. 13th Street with Tony Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-12 PM Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Mattie passed from this life Friday, June 30, 2018. She was born August 2, 1939 in Bryan, Tx., to the late Lee and Shirley (Toliver) Taylor. She attended Dunbar High School and was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 43 years. Mattie retired in 2009 after 25 years in the housekeeping industry. She enjoyed raising an assortment of plants and flowers and reading.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her children; Patricia, Garry, Robert, Shirley, Danny and James, 36 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
