Mary Frances McElroy of Lubbock, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday at the age of 93. Born in Marietta, Oklahoma in 1923 to Robert and Sammie Fountain, Mary excelled in school until leaving Oklahoma for Dallas after high school.
While on a trip home to visit her parents, she met Raymond Paul, “Mac” McElroy. They later married in 1944. Mary and Mac had two children, Dale McElroy of St. George Utah, and Carol McElroy of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and five grandchildren Lauren and Kali Morrison, Makayla and Jason McElroy and Jeanette Butterfield. She also has four great-grandchildren.
Everyone that knew Mary will remember her kind spirit, her light humor, and her endless generosity. She will be truly missed.
