Mary Nell Hildreth

Mary Nell graduated from Lubbock High School and began working for Southwest Bell Telephone Company as a telephone Operator. She retired from the phone company after 39 years as an Executor Secretary. She was married to the love of her life Scotty Hildreth for 47 years until he passed away in 2007.

Mary Nell loved music. She played the piano and sang for church and with several ladies quartets throughout the years. As she never had children, she loved her nephew and nieces as her own.

She is survived by her nephew Mark McEacern (Pat); Nieces Becky McEachern Comstock (Manny), Jackie Charlebois (David), Debbie Wheeler, Pam Kensmoe (Mike), Val Hildreth-Werker (Jim) and Merideth Hildreth. Plus many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Malcomb and Rosa, sister Willie Adeline, brothers Malcomb Jr. and Tom Paul. The family would like to express gratitude to Mary Nell’s dear friends Wanda Green, Doris Andrews and Laura Fulkerson who lovingly helped her.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 5, 2021, at Resthaven Funeral Home from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Lubbock City Cemetery, 2011 E 31st St, Lubbock, TX 79404, at 11:00AM.
