Mackie Lawrence, age 91, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023. He was born in Burkburnett, TX on July 28, 1931 to Mack and Rosa Lawrence. Mackie graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in business. On August 28, 1954 he married his beloved Harriet who preceded him in death on June 20, 2017. Mackie worked in management for the Texas Health Department. He was a member of Trinity Church, and had a passion for playing golf.
Mackie is survived by daughter Gail Peters and husband Mike; son Gary Lawrence and wife Connie, son Larry Lawrence and wife Sherri; grandchildren Nathan, Dustin and wife Cassidy; Kevin and wife Emily, Ashley, Andy, Annette and husband Joshua; great-grandchildren Kingston and Maverick.
A graveside service for Mackie will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery, 5740 West 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79407.
