Lorene Elizabeth Davis, 97, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2013 in her home in Mansfield, Texas. Lorene was born on June 9, 1916 to Lewis and Mary Williams in Whitney, Texas. She was the middle of eight children. She married Morgan Davis in Lubbock, Texas on May 1, 1973. She and Morgan owned and operated Davis RV in Lubbock for many years. She was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter Connie Cox of Lubbock, a son, Raymond Church of Jacksonville, Florida, and preceded in death by two other daughters, Ailene Wisenbaker and Kathy Sims. She had eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Huffman of Plano, Texas and Alma Porter of Seattle, Washington. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 4:00pm at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel in Lubbock, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Heart to Heart Hospice Continuous Care in Fort Worth, Texas.
