June Frank Eldridge

June Frank Eldridge, 83, of Lubbock, passed away on April 6, 2017. He was born in January of 1934 in Carbon, Texas to the late Claiborne and Evelyn Mae (Beaty) Eldridge. Frank was raised in Desdemona, Texas and graduated from Gorman High School in 1950. He attended Tarleton College in Stephenville, Texas and then also attended Texas Tech for one year. He married Virginia Wheatley on September 3, 1954 and the couple had a son, Stephen, in 1958. Frank was drafted into the Army in 1956 and stationed at Fort Chaffee in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He had a very successful career as an engineer beginning with Hasie & Green Consulting Engineers and then Hicks & Ragland Consulting Engineers prior to retirement. Frank was a member of Lake Ridge United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister; Billie Beaty Eldridge McMillan. He is survived by his wife, Virginia, son; Stephen (Sarah), three grandchildren; Aaron (Jennifer) Eldridge and their children, Quinn and Connor, Aimee (Brandon) Smitherman and their son, Malcolm and Todd (Liz Clark) Eldridge, one niece; Elaine Eason and many other relatives and friends.
