Josephine Johnston, 88, of Lubbock, passed away March 5, 2015. She was born in Coleman, TX on December 23, 1926. Josephine graduated from Mozelle High School and received Cadet Nurses Training in Santa Anna. She was married to Robert C. (Bob) Johnston on March 13, 1945. Josephine worked as a nurse and was a grocery checker at United Supermarket in Lubbock, but was a Housewife most of her life. She had a passion for plants and flowers and working in the yard. She loved playing the piano, reading, playing cards and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Josephine is survived by her children, Robert Johnston, Richard Johnston and Vicki Jo Johnston all of Lubbock; grandchildren, Katherine Johnston of Midland, Callie Pope of Post, and Taylor Johnston of Grand Forks, ND; 5 great grandchildren; and a brother, John Thomas of Houston.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in Resthaven Memorial Park.
