John Albert Stowers III, 31, of Lubbock, Texas, went to be with his heavenly father on June 20, 2018. He was born on January 28, 1987 in Lubbock, Texas, to Joanne Harwood and the late John Albert Stowers, Jr. He graduated from Monterey High School in 2005, where he was captain of the swim team his junior and senior year. After attending Howard College in Big Spring, Texas, he began his outstanding career as a licensed plumber where he provided customer service of the highest quality, enduring himself to countless customers. He put the needs of others before his own. This generosity was expressed in every endeavor, beginning with his beloved family.
John married the love of his life, Lexie White Stowers, affectionately known as "hot sauce," on May 17, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a true Texan that loved adventure, nature, mountains, and all wildlife. His greatest passion in life was being a devoted husband and father, as well as, providing for his wife Lexie and son baby Jay.
John is survived by his wife, Lexie White Stowers and son, John Albert Stowers, IV (Jay), his mother, Joanne Harwood and step-father, Chris Harwood, step-mother, Liz Stovall, mother-in-law, Becky White, brother, Brandon Stowers and wife Michelle, sister, Christian Harwood, brother, Christopher Harwood, Jr. and nephew, Bently Harwood. He is also survived by grandmothers, Beverly Claiborne, Gay Smith, Brenda White, Sandra Norwood, Mary Ellen White, grandfather, George Harwood, Sr., and numerous extended family members. John is preceded in death by his father, John Albert Stowers, Jr. and brother Timothy Stowers that passed in infancy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home (5740 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas, 79407). Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Dr. Tom McGovern officiating.
