Glenda Gail Salazar 75, went home to be with Jesus on February 17, 2019 in Lubbock, Texas. Her memorial service will be held on February 21, 2019 at 10:00AM in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home.
If you knew my wife, our mom, our granny Gail, our grandma you knew how kind and beautiful she was. She loved without ceasing. Her guinea hen laugh could make you laugh so hard you cried. She loved to spend time with her family, camping and fishing. She loved working in her garden and enjoyed taking trips to look at all the beautiful wildflowers. If you ever had any of her cooking you know that she was a wonderful cook and she loved to bake. Her house was always in tip top shape and took pride in everything she touched. Mom was a very serious Yankee fan and loved the Texas Country Reporter, but most of all she always found a silver lining in any situation. Mom loved the Lord, loved her family, friends and Elvis.
Gail was preceded in death by her son Billy Ray Walker, son Bobo Salazar, mother Helen Kirkland and father Gordon Kirkland.
Gail is survived by her loving husband Ramon Salazar, daughter Cindy Jacobson (Jake Jacobson), daughter Christina Coble, daughter Anglelita Flores (Julio Flores), and son Victor Salazar. Grandchildren Tosha Sohns, Joshua Traynor (Alicia Traynor), Alicia Traynor, Wayne Coble, Whitney Miller (Colton Miller), Daniel Salazar, Alexxius Salazar, Jet Salazar, Jay Salazar, Dri Flores, and Gabriela Cooper (Emanuel Cooper), as well as, ten great grandchildren.
