Glenda was a partner and officer in King Consultants, and while she was integral to the business, more importantly she was a friend to everyone who crossed their door. But her true passion was in her Savior, Jesus Christ, her family, and the people in whom she invested her life. Glenda spent much of her quality time with her family; in the times they got together for holidays, family events, and family adventures. Beyond family, Glenda was passionately involved in local and foreign missions and investing in people, including people at her church(es), at local restaurants, at local business, in cities and states across the US, and in foreign countries around the world. She never met a person who did not need a hug. She will be missed profoundly by family and friends near and far.
Glenda was preceded by her mother and father, Minnie and Ardis McCray and her older brother Jerry McCray. She is survived by her lifetime friend, partner in crime, and husband, Henry King, her two children (and spouses), Shonni and Steve Hassoldt, and Kim and Karla King, fifteen (15) grandchildren, and five (5) great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Laura Hand and Alice Reed, and her brother Gary McCray.
Funeral service will be held at Church on the Rock in Lubbock on Monday, October 25, 2021, at 10:00AM with a burial to follow at Slaton Englewood Cemetery in Slaton, Texas.
Henry and the family would be honored if friends and family would forward any gifts or donations towards one of her favorite mission pursuits, Glory Ranch, Pursue Missions at pursuemissions.org/donate, choose “Long-Term Missions”, then “Guatemala”, please indicate “Jacal Land” in the comments.
