Georgia was born October 9, 1927 in Gilliand, Texas, to Fred and Annie Laura Walker and was the 3rd of 8 kids.
On October 24, 1945 she married Garland William Broadus who she had known her whole life.
She will be remembered by her children Ann Yeager(Dave), Carol Vernon, Kay Davis and Lynn Broadus(Cindy);siblings Imagene Young and Tevis Walker, 9 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson who shares her birthday; as well as numerous friends and loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Garland Broadus; parents, Fred and Annie Walker; 3 brothers Fred Jr., Connie, and Hilton Walker; 2 sisters Eldena Taylor and Nellie Potter.
She graced our lives with her warmth, faith, and unwavering compassion. Georgia’s heart was a treasure chest overflowing with empathy. Her home was a sanctuary—a comforting place, where friends and family gathered, sharing stories over cups of coffee, homemade meals, and games. She began and ended her day reading her bible and documenting the day’s events in her journal. She taught us all to love the lord and each other. Georgia leaves behind a legacy etched in the hearts of those who knew her. Her kindness ripples outward, touching lives far beyond her earthly presence. As we mourn her passing, let us celebrate the love she shared, and the lessons she imparted. May her spirit find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire acts of kindness.
