Services for George Harrison, 85, of Lubbock, will be at 10 am on Monday, November 21, 2011 in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven. Mr. Harrison passed away on Saturday, November 19.
George was born on December 21, 1925 in Pattonville, TX to Roy and Bessie Tow Harrison. He was a WWII veteran serving in the European Theater. He married the love of his life, Inez Nichols in Lubbock, December 18, 1948. She preceded him in death in 1999. He had been employeed at Maxey Lumber Co. for 37 years, and later at Bowman Lumber and Stock Building Supply.
He was an active member at the Lubbock Senior Citizen’s Center and loved to dance.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Harrison and Beckie and husband John Brawley all of Lubbock; four sisters; Three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
