Felix Hilburn, 97, of Lubbock, passed away on January 24, 2016. Funeral services will be held Friday January 29, 2016 at 10 AM in Resthaven Funeral Home’s Abbey Chapel. Visitation will be held Thursday January 28 from 5 to 7 pm in Resthaven Funeral Home.
Felix was born July 31, 1918 in Mineola, TX. He married Ruth Cauthan on Saturday March 4, 1947 in Crowell, Texas. Ruth passed away July 19, 2011. Felix is survived by 4 sons, Felix, David and wife Pearl, Douglas, and DeWayne; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy; brother, Lowell; sister-in-law Janette Bradford.
Felix was a baseball coach and a Scout Master for 12 years and taught children’s Sunday school for over 55 years. He was a Navy veteran in WWII.
