Eva was born in San Antonio de Tumbiscatio de Ruiz, Michoacan Mexico on October 4th, 1936, to Maria Ceja and Aureliano Licea.
On May 13th, 1966, Eva married W.D. Miller, and they would go on to spend many wonderful years together.
Eva spent her time making a beautiful home for her five boys to grow up in. Eva’s family came first in her life, and she enjoyed traveling with family, spending time in the outdoors, tending to her garden, and making delicious homemade tortillas.
She enjoyed being involved in her community as a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and as a devoted member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
There was nothing that Eva would not do for her sons, and in 1978 she selflessly donated a kidney to her son Patrick – this was the first organ transplant of any kind performed in West Texas.
Eva was preceded in death by her beloved son, Patrick in 1980.
Those left to cherish Eva’s memory are her four sons; Sergio Ceja and wife Margie; German Ceja and wife Becky; Johnny Miller and partner Anita Rutledge; and Jesse Miller and wife Sandra. Her legacy also lives of through her nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
