Dorothy Lea Northcott, 84, of Lubbock, passed away on March 26, 2011. Memorial services will take place on Wednesday, March 30th at 10:00 AM in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home. Bro. LaVoid Ford will officiate.
Dorothy was born December 20, 1926, in Rotan, TX to parents Nora and Dan S. Thorne. She had worked as a bookkeeper in a tax office.
Survivors include two sons: Larry and Phil Osman, both of Lubbock; a daughter, Linda White of Dulles, VA; two grandsons: Matthew Osman of Dallas TX and Lucas J. White of Dulles, VA; a sister, Ann Audleman of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; a brother, Raymond “Pete” Thorne of Sulpher Springs, TX; and eight nephews and eight nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Hollis, E.D., and Frank Thorne; a sister, Melva Edwards; her first husband: Tom Osman, who passed away in 1973; and her second husband: Olen Northcott, who passed away in 2002.
