Doris "Peggy" Reed

She was born December 2, 1916 in Killeen, Tx to Jesse and Cora Collier. She graduated from Texas State of San Marcos in 1939 with her Bachelors Degree; she later attended Texas Tech University and graduated from Tech with her Masters Degree in Education in 1954. She retired as a Teacher in 1978.

She is survived by her son Terry Reed and his companion, Michele Theatig of Lubbock, two nephews, Edward Collier and his wife Antionette of Plano, Tx and Glen Collier and his wife Nan of Tulsa, Ok, and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, Edward Reed, and one brother Dr. Jesse W. Collier.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 11:00 Am at Resthven’s Mausoleum Chapel, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Rev. Matt Wolfington will be officiating. A visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 from 10 Am-8 Pm.
