Cindy Lou Cunningham – a kind-hearted woman of the Lord, age 69, of Lubbock, passed away on January 14th, 2023 after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born February 19th, 1953 in Lubbock, TX. She graduated from Coronado High School in 1971.
Cindy attended South Plains College where she was a cheerleader and then later attended the University of Tennessee. She eventually went to work at the United States Postal service for over 30 years and eventually retired from there. She loved the outdoors and camping trips in the mountains with her family.
Cindy is survived by two handsome sons Luke and Jacob Cunningham; two daughter-in-laws: Barbee and Dawnielle Cunningham and by two sisters Shirley Whiteaker and Marcel Shelton. She also leaves behind the legacy of 5 grandchildren - Judah, Shiloh, and Asher Cunningham; and Kennedy and Kinsley Cunningham. As well as nieces and nephews. Cindy was adored by her family and loved by all. She would be best remembered for the way she lovingly sacrificed for her family in all that she did. She set for her family an example that love is best measured by what we are willing to give up for those that we love.
She is preceded in death by her sister Karen Beasley and her nephew Nathan Whiteaker.
A celebration of her life memorial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 21st, at Agape United Methodist Church, 1215 Slide Rd. Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 am Saturday, January 21st at Resthaven Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donation be made to Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org or Agape United Methodist Church of Lubbock.
