

Clifton Earl Arnold, more affectionately known as Buddy, was born at home on Avenue M in Lubbock, Texas November 9, 1944. His parents were Hester Mae Carr Arnold from Old Glory, Texas and Edwin Percy “Jack” Arnold from Copperas Cove, Texas.
Buddy was married to Sharion Kay Culpepper. They are survived by two children.
Tony Calvett Arnold is married to Teri Arnold. Their children are Tiffani Arnold Rodriguez and her husband Erick Rodriguez and their child, Raphael, Tasia Arnold Austin and her husband Scott Austin and their child, Coen, Taylee Arnold Bednarz and her husband Cameron Austin, and Trista Arnold
Sharla Denise Arnold Marshall is married to Dan Marshall. Their children are Treston and Callie Marshall and their children, Judah and Caleb, Peyton Marshall, Trey and Harper Marshall, and Carson Marshall.
Buddy was also married to Mary Morris Arnold. They are survived by one daughter. Debra Ann Arnold is married to Ben Prince. Their children are Matthew Lee Prince and Zoie Ann Louise Prince.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Moore Arnold.
Buddy is survived by four sisters, Jacquelyn June Arnold Looney and her husband Frank Looney (deceased), Hester Joanna Arnold Goulette and her husband Ron Goulette, Judy Sue Arnold Rainwater and her husband Jerry Rainwater, and Janis Jaynese Arnold Haney and her husband James Haney.
He is also survived by many numerous nephews and nieces.
Buddy graduated from Lubbock High School and was a natural artist.
He was a machine mechanic and operator and retired from Grinnell Industries that was later purchased by Tyco.
He was president of the Miniature Train Association of America and had an extensive collection of Lionel trains and enjoyed them right up to his death.
He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
A celebration of life for Clifton will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home & Cemetery, 5740 West 19th Street, Lubbock, TX 79407.
