He is survived by a son, Bruce D. Sanders of Mesquite and daughter, Susan R. Bachman of Lubbock; grandsons Kyler and Kolton Bachman of Dallas; sisters Mary Brooks of Amarillo, Aline Love of Jayton, Arlene Davis of North Carolina, Beatrice Leverett of Jayton and Dolores Gaston of Jayton.
He is preceded in death by father Tommy Sanders, mother Louetta McGill Sanders and step-mother Ruth Rutledge Sanders; his loving wife, Carol Durrett Sanders, his sisters Grace Rogers and Dorothy Nell Gibson, and brother Thelton Sanders.
Claude was born September 7, 1932 in Jayton, TX. He served as a PVT E2 medical aidman during the Korean War, earning a Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense Service Medal. He was a foreman for TXDOT for 38 years.
He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the American Heart Association or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
