Casey served in the Vietnam War and was well known in the used car industry. He worked alongside his father at Poindexter Auto Sales and had various other sales jobs throughout his life. He loved to listen to Rock ‘n’ Roll and enjoyed attending his ‘board meeting’ with the Table 82 guys. He was a member of the Yellowhouse Masonic Lodge 841 and Southcrest Baptist Church. Casey loved watching TV and spending time with his family.
Casey was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Lucille Poindexter and sister in law Becky Poindexter.
He was survived by his beautiful wife, Judi of 50 years, 3 daughters, Rebeca Andrews and husband Rex, Angie Jenkins, and Ashli Poindexter and husband Elan Chandler, son Kevin Jenkins and wife Sheila, grandchildren, Zachary and Meagan Taylor, Brenner and Ellery Humphries, Ben and Brooke Jenkins, brother Michael Poindexter, great grandchildren Kensley and Annalee, nephews Michael Poindexter Jr. and wife Dana, Sean Poindexter and wife Shawna, and Aaron Poindexter and wife Lainie. He is also survived by Carol Adams, Janet Flemmons and Vicki Nichols.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am Saturday June 25, 2022 at Resthaven Funeral Home’s Abbey Chapel with Dr. Jerry Newman officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Friday, June 24, 2022 at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are Jim Chapman, Bill Poteet, Spike Jones, Jack Woody, Len Webster and Brenner Humphries.
