Candace Kay Cameron passed away May 7th, 2023 at her home in Lubbock, TX. She was born December 20, 1957, in San Angelo, TX, to Bill and Joe Faye Lieber. Candace is survived by husband, Robert, as well as son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Lakin.
A memorial service will be held 11:00am Friday, May 12, 2023 at Forrest Heights United Methodist Church, 3007 33rd St. Lubbock, TX 79410. A visitation will also be held Thursday, May 11, from 5-7pm at the same location.
Candace was known for her career as an elementary music educator, where she took the opportunity to introduce young children to the universal language. She spent thirty-five years in the Frenship Independent School District and seven years at All Saints Episcopal School. She loved seeing her students grow and succeed through music.
Candace was also the ultimate care giver. Robert, Kyle, and Joe Faye were her everything and she sacrificed many years of her life to making sure her family was well taken care of. It never went unnoticed.
Candace’s greatest joy was being a mother to Kyle. The hours spent taking him to trumpet lessons, marching contests, camps, golf tournaments, and so many other engagements he wanted to be involved with. She was really a rockstar mom.
Candace was loved and will be dearly missed by anyone who ever interacted with her.
Flowers may be sent to Forrest Heights Methodist, and donations to the All Saint music program may also be made.
