Brenda Wyly

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Brenda was born on February 19, 1942 in Sayre, Ok to Leon and Mary Lee Brooks.

During High School Brenda was the Okaholma UIL State Champion in typing. She graduated from Watherford High School and was the Drum Major of the Band. She married L.B. Wyly on May 27, 1961 in Weatherford, Ok. She was a member of Cedar Bayou United Methodist Church in Baytown, Texas. She volunteered for several years at Bethania Hospital in Wichita Falls, Tx and was active in the University Methodist Church, she was a Band Mom and band booster President for Wichita Falls High School for two years and was also involved in the Aquatic Club in Wichita Falls. She retired from Texas Tech Chemistry Department and School of Human Sciences after 14 years there, as a Student Advisor. She was adopted by several students as their mom away from home, during her time there.

She is survived by her husband L.B. Wyly; one daughter, Allison Wyly both of Lubbock and one son, Adrain Wyly of Ft. Worth, Tx.
