Memorial services for Rev. Bonner Earl and Lenora (Rackley) Teeter will take place on Thursday, December 30, 2010, at 10:30 AM, in the Neil Chapel at Carillon. Interment with graveside services will take place at a later date in Pisquah Cemetery in Pottsville, AR.
Rev. Teeter was born February 14, 1919, in Pottsville, AR to parents Daniel and Ora (Stevenson) Teeter. He passed away on December 21, 2010. Lenora R. Teeter was born February 18, 1916, in Pottsville, AR to parents Elmer T. and Hettie (Speer) Rackley. She passed away on December 25, 2010. The couple had resided at Carillon for the past 14 years. They were married for over 71 years, during which time Rev. Teeter served in the U.S. Army as a Chaplain during World War II in both France and Germany. He retired in 1991, after serving in various ministry capacities in the Oklahoma/New Mexico Conference of the United Methodist Church for over 50 years. He received his Honorary Doctorate Degree from Oklahoma City University in 1970. Mrs. Teeter spent the majority of her life as a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker.
Both are survived by two sons: Eddie (Cheryl) Teeter of Lockney and Lara (Kristen) Teeter of Webster Grove, MO; four daughters: Paula (Larry) Marshall of Trinidad, CO, Bonnie (Michael) Payton of Lubbock, Nancy (Gary) Edwards of Owasso, OK, and Vicki (Stanley) Rogers of Mechanicsville, VA; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lenora is survived by two sisters: Eula (Ed) Thompson of Little Rock, AR and Mattie Sue Horton of Howe, TX; and a brother, Dolen Rackley of Lubbock.
