Bob is survived by his loving wife of 71 1/2 years,Mary Lou Simpson,88; four children: Gary Simpson of San Angelo, Linda Cooper Simpson of Rio Rancho,NM, Jack Simpson of Holly Lake Ranch, TX, and Kellie Mitchell Simpson of Lubbock; 9 grandchildren: Paul, Daniel and Evan Simpson, Cameron and Darren Cooper, Jake and Travis Simpson, Nick and Lyndsie Gonzales; 9 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Gillet of Wolfforth, and Peggy Sassman of Bay City, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E.E and Shelley Mae Simpson; two brothers, Edward Clinton "Bud" and Ewell Ray Simpson.
Bob worked at the Ford dealership for 41 years and after retiring he repaired lawn equipment. He really enjoyed playing in a country western band for most of his adult life and they entertained at several area retirement homes.
The viewing will be at Resthaven on Sunday September 25th, from 3pm - 5pm. The Celebration of Life service will be Monday September 26, 2022 at 1pm in Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Bob was a wonderful man, husband, father, brother, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend who will be missed.
