Bettye B. Wright

She held her Masters in Education from Texas Tech University and was a school teacher, consultant, and principal for the Lubbock Independent District. She married her beloved Bill Wright at the Ford Chapel at First Baptist Church on June 28, 1952 and continued her service as a Sunday school teacher at the church. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who brought love and light to all of those blessed to know her. Our memories of Bettye and the lessons she taught us will forever live in our hearts and minds.

She is survived by her husband Bill Wright; daughter Kerry Cashiola; grandchildren Steven Cashiola, Stacy Cashiola, and Shannon Nystrom; 5 great grandchildren, sister Quatha Baker and two nieces and nephew.

We would like to thank Hospice of Lubbock for making her last days comfortable.

A Funeral Service will be held today, Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 10 AM at the Ford Chapel of the First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
