Betty Jean Prier was born on September 30, 1927 in Springfield, Missouri. She married Gene Henry in Neosho, Missouri on June 29, 1947. She worked in the Roswell School District Superintendent’s office for approximately 20 years. They moved to Lubbock in 2003 and she was a member of Monterey Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Gene; three children, Jeannette Tidwell (Tommy) of Lubbock, Stephen Henry (Roberta) of Las Cruces, and Tim Henry (Janet) of Roswell; five grandchildren, Jennifer Douglass, Todd Tidwell, Patrick Henry, Erin Henry and Brandon Henry; and one brother, Leslie Prier of Stark City, Missouri. She also had 8 great grandchildren.
