He was a man of many talents including greyhound racing, an amazing cook, professional truck driver, great father and a believer in Christ. Benny carried an admiration for things we can all embrace: vintage cars, amazing music and most importantly a passion for restoring old custom cars. He won countless awards throughout the state of Texas for his restorations.
Benny and his brother Roy were friends with Buddy Holly. They spent countless adventures all over Lubbock growing up as wild kids. Pretty sure Benny and Roy wore enough soles out their shoes to keep their mother busy, taking care of the boys and also keeping up with her successful career as a boot maker.
He is preceding in death his father, Louis Joe “Pete” Green and mother Evelyn Sherley Green. Roy Edward Rucker and spouse Celia Loya Green.
He is survived by his wife Cindi Everette Green, Mary Solesbee and spouse, Gary Solesbee, Marc Green and spouse, Andrea Greeb; Twenty five grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will truly be missed by family and friends.
