Aurelia Granados Gomez

Aurelia Granados Gomez 80, of Shallowater has reunited with her true love. She passed away Monday, January 17th at 3:00 AM. Aurelia was born in Creedmore, Texas on June 16, 1941. She was a loving wife, mom, grandmother and was loved by everyone she touched.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Resthaven Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel at 10:00 AM by Pastor Robert Cortez with a committal service in the Resthaven Memorial Park to follow.

Aurelia is survived by her sons: Ruben Max Gomez and Roberto Granados Gomez (Susan); her daughter Ruth Fennell (Dave); her grandchildren: Nina Ray, Heather Johnson (Kevin), Leila Johnson (Kenneth), David Fennell (Christena),Marisa Orozco (Angel),Joseph Gomez,

Myra Hennessy (Joseph).

She has 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great granddaughters.

Her siblings: , Janie Duran, Eddie Portillo, Estella Trevino, Domingo Portillo, Luis Portillo and Lupita Portillo; sister-in-law: Rose Mediano.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Rodolfo Gomez; father Maximo Granados; mother Lupe Portillo; brothers Paul Granados and Pete Portillo.

Pallbearers are family members: James Duran, Donnie Duran, Lupe Trevino, Trey Aguilar, Jess Truelock and Stacy Hohenberger.

Aurelia always lived her life laughing with a smile on her face. Taking care of her family was the biggest part of her life. She will truly be missed and we are at peace knowing heaven has a new Angel.
