Anthony R. Valenzuela, age 37, of Lubbock Texas. He went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. He was born May 16, 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. He attended Coronado High School in Lubbock Texas. Anthony had a career in construction. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. He had a passion for music and art. He was a collector of hats, masks and shoes.
Anthony is survived by his children Anthony F. and Atom Rey Valenzuela. His parents Suzanne and Richard Montoya Sr; his grandparents Rita and Ernest Montoya; his brother’s Edward Valenzuela, Richard Montoya Jr and wife Melanie, sister Marianna Watson and husband Jessie; uncles Andrew and wife Sandra L. Matta Oscar and wife Sandra, Matta and Frank Matta Jr, Fernando Montoya and wife Tonia; Godmother Sylvia Renteria; aunt Rose Charles; nephews and nieces Noel, Alesia, Maria, Patience, Kaylee, Edward Jr, Richard and Denise.
Anthony is preceded in death by his father Rufino Valenzuela; maternal grandparents Delfa and Frank Matta, paternal grandfather Catarino Valenzuela, aunt Adela Montoya and twin nephews Richard III and Noah Montoya.
He was loved by many people and will be greatly missed.
