Celebration of life services for Ruth West, 85, of Round Rock, formerly of Lubbock, will be held at 1 pm, Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with Rev. Bill McGraw officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Ruth passed from this life Sunday, February 13, 2011 in Round Rock, Texas.
Alva Ruth was born March 2, 1925 in Girard, Texas to the late John and Ella (Davenport) Turner. She married the love of her life, Willie Earl West; he preceded her in death September 6, 1985. Ruth was a talented artist who enjoyed China Painting. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Lee, J. A., Rupert and Preston Turner.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter; Linda White of Round Rock, Texas, son, Michael D. West; sister; Betty Tate both of Lubbock, grandchildren; Brandon White and wife, Amanda of Atlanta, Georgia, Tracy White of Merced, California and several nieces and nephews.
