Charles Michael Tackett entered into rest on Saturday November 21, 2015 in Saint Helena, California. A native of Paducah, Kentucky and formerly of Titusville, Florida, Charles had lived in Lake County for over 20 years. He had worked in the fields of crime prevention and sales.
Charlie graduated from High School in Titusville, Florida then entered the US Air Force in 1966 where he served as a Medic (Medical Helicopter Specialist) during the Vietnam War. He completed his education in Administration of Justice and worked as a Correctional Officer at San Quentin. He loved Aikido because it is a discipline to make “the heart of nature our own heart”. He was an accomplished player of Chess, which was a means by which he could express ideas and emotions and have mental contact with others.
Charles is survived by his loving mother Betty M. Gillman of Vero Beach, Florida, father John S. Tackett of Mims, Florida, ex-wife Barbara Kremidas of Sacramento, California, devoted stepdaughter Nina Presmont of Sacramento, California and his Life-long Friend Kenneth Blasingame of Concord, California.
Friends and family are most warmly invited to attend military graveside services on Charles’ birthday, Friday April 8, 2016 at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery beginning at 1:00 pm.
Please share your loving memories of Charles by signing his on-line guestbook at www.jonesandlewis.com. Arrangements are under the care of Jones & Lewis Clear Lake Memorial Chapel.
