It is with a heavy heart we share the passing of Timothy "Tim" James Michiels, age 69, of Loveland, Colorado. Tim passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 24, 2021, from complications caused by Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD).
Tim was born and grew up in Wisconsin. In 1979 he moved to Colorado for work, and lived in the Loveland area for the remainder of his life. He worked as a versatile and skilled carpenter his entire life. Tim met his wife Karen Uken Miller in 1994, and they married on December 30, 1998.
Tim loved to camp, fish, boat, garden, and work on his home with continuous projects throughout the years. He loved to feed the birds in his yard, and spent many hours of enjoyment observing them. Tim always directly, concisely, and honestly communicated what was on his mind, and his insightful words of wisdom will be so missed by those who love him. Tim had a kind and loving heart.
Tim is survived by his wife Karen; step-children Jennifer Rose Miller and Luke Avery Miller (Dulce); brothers Randy, Todd (Kimberly), Rick, and Monte Michiels; sisters Sue Breedlove (Jim), Debra Pearson (Ken), and Cindy Michiels Newton (Tracy); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Gerald Michiels, his mother Julie Braedel, and his brother Scott Michiels.
In honor of Tim's wishes, a memorial service will not be held.

I give you this one thought to keep.
I am with you still. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on the snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone.
I am with you still in each new dawn.
