Terry married the love of his life, Donna (Gylling) on October 14, 1956. Terry and Donna were married 66 years. They met in kindergarten at the Woodland School north of Council Bluffs, and have been soul mates from that time on. Terry worked as a dairy farmer in Iowa and belonged to Local 571 in Omaha, Nebraska operating heavy equipment. In 1976 they moved the family to Salida, CO where Terry worked for Chaffee County. One of Terry’s hobbies was fishing, he got his love for fishing from his father and enjoyed tying flies for all to use.
Terry was known for his laughter, sense of humor, and big hugs. We are all beyond thankful for a lifetime of memories with this man. Terry helped shape each of his children into who they are today; hardworking, caring individuals. We are honored and blessed for the close relationship we each shared with him. Even though we knew your time was getting close, it is never easy because we have each enjoyed our time with you in our own way. Terry loved his entire family with all of his heart.
He is survived by his wife Donna, his four daughters: Connie, Kate, Chris and Julie, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chet and Juanita Wright and son Terry Wright Jr.
Terry loved big and laughed hard and had the best little monkey story of all time.
