Sandra is lovingly remembered by her children, Patricia Croxton, of Loveland, CO, her deceased daughter, Nanci Hill, of Colorado Springs, CO, Kirk Thiets of Fort Collins, CO and Guy Thiets, of Yukon, OK.
Sandra is survived by her grandchildren Jeffrey Watson, Ashton Croxton and Taylor Croxton, and her great grandchildren, Jude and Margo Croxton.
Sandra was bom in Pequot Lakes, MN. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1958 and made the decision to become a full time, loving mom to four children for the next twenty five years of her life. In 1982, she became a medical assistant, an x-ray technician and an emergency medical technician until her retirement in 2012. After her retirement she continued forward with volunteer work. She volunteered as a docent for the Loveland Art Museum, as a ticket taker and usher at the Loveland Theater for the Performing Arts, and also delivered books to homebound patients for the Loveland Metropolitan Library.
Sandra did not stay in Minnesota long after graduation. She moved to Denver, Colorado in the early sixties to continue raising her family. In the late seventies, she decided to get away from it all and moved to the small, country town of Elbert, Colorado, where she built a house, with her own two hands, for herself and her two boys. After her children grew up and moved away, she decided to be closer to her eldest daughter, Patricia, where she lived until her passing. She was a fiercely independent woman who loved nature, and all of the arts. She continually strived to learn about new things and could always be found reading books on a multitude of subjects. She truly loved and valued her life, and she will be forever missed by so many.
