Karen Y. Raymond passed peacefully from this life on Monday, October 10, 2022, in Loveland, Colorado. Karen was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 22, 1939. She was raised in the Texas Hill Country and graduated from Tivy High School in Kerrville, Texas. On October 22, 1960, she married Paul C. Raymond, Jr. at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Kerrville, Texas. The couple then moved to Midland, Texas where they resided for over 40 years. Her husband died in 2007 after 48 years of marriage.
Karen began her petroleum career in Midland, Texas with Coquina Oil Corporation in 1974 as an Engineering Assistant. She later worked for Leede Oil & Gas, Tocor Investments, Coastal Management Corporation, and retired from Schlumberger after a 30-year career as an Engineering Technician in charge of Reserves and Economics on the Waddell Ranch.
In 2008, Karen moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where she began delivering groceries to shut-ins for Volunteers of America and attended Bible Study Fellowship for eight years. She also enjoyed exercising at the Miramont Fitness Center, exploring the beauty of the Rocky Mountains and attending services at Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Her loved husband Paul and her dear sister Gail Sears preceded her in death. She is survived by her beloved sister Sandra Hunt of Athens, Georgia; her daughter Darcie Palmer, husband Ross and their children Daniel and Joy of Fort Collins; and her son Paul Raymond III, wife Lisa and their children Hannah, Andrew, Walker, and Olivia of Boonton, New Jersey.
