Christian James Stephenson, known to his loved ones as CJ, Steve, or Buddy, passed away on December 3, 2023, at the age of 23 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Christian was born on May 20, 2000, in Fort Collins, Colorado. He grew up in Loveland, CO.
Christian was a supportive, kind-hearted, affectionate, sympathetic, and humorous individual. He had a warm personality that endeared him to all who knew him. He had a passion for basketball, football, fishing, snowboarding, video games, driving, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his friends.
Christian is survived by his wife Maggie Calderon, father Shane Stephenson, stepmother Krystal Fountain, mother Tammie McKinney, stepfather Zeb Mckinney, grandparents Allyson Doerfler, Jim and Barb Kent, as well as his siblings Tia, Amelia, and Race Stephenson. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Christian in early childhood was homeschooled and studied the Bible. He was very good at being able to recall scripture from memeory. He later attended Loveland Classical Schools for his high school education. After completing his education, he served in the U.S. Army for four years, where he earned the rank of Sergeant. As a Communication Specialist, he utilized his skills to serve his country with honor and dedication.
Christian also pursued a career as a Digital Creator. His creativity and talent allowed him to excel in his chosen profession.
Christian was baptized at Crossroads Church and later worshiped at Foundations Church, where he found solace and spiritual guidance.
A Memorial Service will be held at Foundations Church on December 22, 2023, at 11am to honor Christian's life. Full honors will be rendered. Contributions in his memory can be made to The Honor Bell Foundation, the Patriot Guard Riders of Colorado, Stop Soldier Suicide, and Wounded Warrior Project.
The Allnutt Funeral Service in Loveland, Colorado, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
