Born to the late Joseph Gibson, Sr. and Barbara Fensterer, Bill is also preceded in passing by adoring wife Shirley; his sisters Elaine and Gayle; brother Larry; and grandchild Derrick Jacobs. Here to carry on his memory are his eight children, numerous grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Bill successfully owned and operated Bullit East Bowling Center in Mount Washington for over 26 years. His bowling talent even placed him in the Kentucky Bowling Hall of Fame. Bill will be remembered for his passion for the game of golf, and his kind heart. Bill and his loving wife Shirley selflessly fostered over 400 children in the span of their lives, leaving behind a powerful impact.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A funeral service in Bill’s honor will begin immediately at 2:00pm. This service will be streamed live over our Facebook page ‘Arch L. Heady at Resthaven’, to participate, “like” our page and you will receive a notification when the service begins streaming at 2:00pm. Bill will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
