Virginia Lee Conklin

She was a retired mechanic for National Tobacco Company. Mrs. Conklin was a member of St. Peter the Apostle and the senior club there. She proudly serviced her community in many areas.

Virginia loved to be surrounded by her family. Her home was the center of family events and she welcomed everyone with open arms.

Mrs. Conklin was preceded in rest by her husband, Jerome G. Conklin her parents, four brothers, a son-in-law and two grandsons, Andrew and Matthew.

She is survived by five children, Jerome D. Conklin (Doris), Theresa Hayes, Michael J. Conklin (Kim), Steven M. Conklin (Janet) and Laura L. Conklin (Mike); 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Gloria J. Mingus (Bill) and Brenda J. Minton.

Her funeral will be Monday, October 10th, at 11am at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5431 Johnsontown Rd, with interment following in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be on Sunday at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, from 12 noon until 8pm.
