Van "Tennessee" H. Miller

Tennessee was born to the late Earl Miller and Golden Baker Miller on December 29, 1933 in Sugartree, Tennessee. He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlene Miller; daughter, Kimberly Allen; son-in-law, Anthony Allen; granddaughter, Marianne Stice; and his siblings, Irene, Lattie, O.T., Teany and Austin.

Tennessee served in the US Army. He retired from Southern Standard Cartons in 1995, after working for over 30 years. Tennessee enjoyed gardening, fishing and puzzles. Tennessee was a devoted and loving husband, dad, Papaw and Paw, he will be truly missed by all who adored him.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Janie Patterson, Donnie Stice (Penny), Angie Golden (Larry) and Mike Sears; grandchildren, Gary, David, Kacie (Nick), Nick, Chris, Josh (Jenny), Bobby, Larry and Gabby (Joe); and 21 ½ great-grandchildren, who call him Paw.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY 40213. A service to honor the life of Tennessee will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 12 noon at the funeral home. Tennessee will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
