Trulla Reams Poynter

92, of Louisville, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at her residence.

She was a retired Vice President of the former First National Bank of Louisville where she had worked for thirty three years. Trulla was the past president of the Kentucky Federation of Women’s Clubs, past governor of the Third District of Kentucky Federated Women’s Clubs, past president of Highland Woman’s Club, past president of the Leadership Council, Current Events Club of Jeffersontown, a member of the Beautification League of Louisville and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Della Reams, her husband, William L. Poynter Sr.; brothers, John B., Raymond G. and Will L.G. Reams.

She is survived by a son, William L. Poynter Jr. (Anita); a daughter, Peggy S. Poynter; grandchildren, William L. Poynter III (Trish), Elizabeth A. Stelzer (Eric) Christopher C. Poynter (Marta), Dr. J. Ryan Poynter and; two very special great-grandchildren, Peter Stelzer and Nils Poynter and also her special caregivers.

Her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Please visit www.archlheadyresthaven.com.
