Theresa Martin

Theresa Jean Barr Martin, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024, she was born on August 20, 1967 in Louisville ky . Theresa's life was a tapestry woven with the love of her family, the joy of her interests, and the kindness she bestowed upon everyone she met.

She was the cherished daughter of Ann M. Barr and the late Thomas J. Barr Jr. Her loving husband, James A. Martin, and her devoted son, Dirk Xavier Martin, survive her. Theresa's legacy continues through her brother, Thomas J. Barr III (Robin), and her sister, Lisa A. Lee (late Charlie). She was a beloved member of the Martin family, including her mother-in-law, Eleanor J. Martin, and father-in-law, and the late Donald J. Martin.

Theresa's memory will be treasured by her nephews, TJ Barr (Erinn) and Bryan Lee, and her nieces, Samantha Lee, Amanda Barr, and Jessica Wise (Vic), along with her grandniece, Lilly, and grandnephew, Jack. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas J. Barr Sr., Lorraine Barr, Joseph B. Mattingly, and Bridget Mattingly.

Theresa's love for going on walks and loving her cats, her passion for coloring, and her flair for decorating brought joy to her and those around her. Her loving and kind nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Theresa's light will continue to shine in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

A visitation for Theresa will be held Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM
