He was born February 4, 1921 in Hodgenville, KY, the son of the late Arvey and Agnes (Hornback) Tucker.
Sylvester was a United States Army Veteran who was awarded the Purple Heart for his service in WWII. He had also worked at Southern Gravure for many years.
Survivors include his children, Beckie Snyder (Spider) and Greg Tucker (Youi); grandchildren, Jeremy, Josh and Justin; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Nora. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Tucker and grandson, Tucker Gilmer.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd., with entombment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
