Shirley enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. She was a member of Rutledge Road Baptist church and known to be an extremely loving and caring person. She loved her family very much.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Barnes; son, Kevin Sharp; sisters, Linda Basham, Brenda Dickson; and brother, Michael Whitfill.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Paula "Chrissy" Fentress (Gary); grandchildren, Justin (Bethany), Jared, Haley; step-grandchildren, Jeremy, Kayla; great-grandchildren, Riley, Zoey, Penelope; step-great-grandchildren, Kaire, Aaliyah, Karlie; great-great-grandchild, Alayna; sister, Mary Lou Pilkerton (Jimmy), brothers, Sonny Whitfill, Rick Whitfill (Sandy), Robert Whitfill (Janice); and several nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 2pm - 8pm at Advantage Funeral Home - Hardy Chapel, 10907 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 11am with entombment to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
