Sean was born in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the son of Danette Parrish and Joe Mattingly. He graduated Fern Creek High School in 2006 and also graduated the Isaiah house program in 2022 with a peer support certification.
He enjoyed fishing, listening to music of all kinds, and buying Retro Jordans. Sean will be remembered for his sense of humor and his willingness to help others. His bright smile and contagious laugh.
Sean is survived by his children: Baylee Mattingly (daughter), Memphis Wooten, and Brian Wooten. Also his beloved Sierra Summitt, and his plus four: Joshua, Haleigha, Legacy, and Legend. His grandmother Shirley Smith (Jerry), grandfather Roger Mattingly. His aunts & uncles: Susan Parrish, Andy Parrish, Jimmi Mattingly, a brother and sister Cameron & Hannah Mattingly. A host of cousins Jessica, Jacob, Alex (Chris), Aj , Abigail, and Hanalei. His two four-legged kids Kilo and Jasper, as well as a host of friends and extended family.
He was predeceased by: Daniel Parrish Jr (grandfather), Rita Monte-Mattingly (grandmother), JP Mattingly (uncle), and Brandi Wooten (his children’s mother).
A visitation will be held at Arch L Heady at Resthaven 4400 Bardstown Rd Louisville Ky 40218 on Sunday March 5, 2023 from 1pm 6pm with an additional viewing on Monday March 6, 2023 from 10am -12 pm with a funeral service to follow.
A memorial donation can be made to Isaiah House in the name of Sean Mattingly or to Fifth Third Bank under Sean Mattingly/Joseph Mattingly Burial Expenses.
